In the Line of Sight: Contemporary Jewellery in France

A gem of an exhibition. This exhibition is presented in the form of a journey through the permanent collections of the museum. Seventy jewellers and goldsmith-artists are invited to present their latest works beside the works dating from the Middle Ages and Renaissance. Thus you will find creations from the 17th and 18th century, 19th century works, art nouveau, art deco, modern and contemporary pieces, and displays in the Contemporary Gallery and the Jewellery Gallery.

How is the role of jewellery changing and evolving today? With creative and spectacular experimentation, a tendency to « question » the contemporary body and analyze new social behaviours, this exhibition explores all aspects of jewellery in France.
